Security Glass
Laminated glass is known as "Safety glass" because it's made of two or more glass panels with a layer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) between them. These glass panels can be regular, tempered, or strengthened. If the glass breaks, the pieces stick to the PVB layer, making it less likely for them to fall and cause harm. The PVB layer is tough and can absorb a lot of energy if the glass gets hit hard, making it hard to break completely. Even if it does break, the shape of the glass is often maintained.
